I'd like to reprint some material I've read here. How do I go about doing this?
First, check out the license that accompanies the article. A link to it can be found at the bottom of the article page. If the license permits you to use the article you may. If not, you should contact the author via the feedback form to obtain his or her permission.
I'd like to be part of the Collective, how might I do this?
We're currently not accepting new authors or contributers, but you may send a message to Dan and he will discuss it with the rest of the Collective. You may also suggest a story to an author or the group in general.
Why is this site slow to download?
Because it's hosted in Dan's apartment on his DSL connection.
What technology is behind this web site?
The machine runs SuSE Linux 9.2. The web server and containers are Apache HTTP Server and IBM WebSphere Application Server, respectively. Previously, the server operating system was Solaris 9 and it used Apache Tomcat as the web container. The content is stored in a MySQL database.
